BerryMate® harvest totes with molded-in dividers are a significant advancement over standard harvest totes that require separately purchased dividers that must be assembled into the tote. The dividers help indicate a full tote (at 510 cubic inches) while harvesting blueberries and other fruit, and they ensure the fresh picked berries will not get crushed when the tote is stacked or nested. To nest a BerryMate® tote for storage or empty return shipment, turn it 180 degrees from the stacking position. There are position aids (small raised bumps) on one lip to simplify nesting without looking at the tote. (For a completely non-nesting BerryMate® tote, please see our styles page.) By molding in dividers, we have eliminated both the additional cost of purchasing separate dividers and the labor cost to install and maintain them. BerryMate® harvest totes are designed with “Cool Flow” air vents consisting of vertical slots and lower non-stacking (long) sides. The vent quantity and positioning allows produce to be cooled quicker than in wooden and standard plastic totes.

BerryMate® harvest totes are produced from the finest FDA approved high impact thermoplastic materials. UV stabilizers are also added to help prevent color fading. Some farmers prefer not to have dividers in their BerryMate® harvest totes, so we also offer BerryMate® totes without dividers. In addition, the Nesting No-Divider BerryMate® tote has the highest nesting ratio at 2:1 of all the BerryMate® models. BerryMate® totes nest by turning them 180 degrees from the stacking position.
